yeah, i use a mael in tq pvp as well, and you can get around at least some of the sheild tanking issues by rigging resists, but thats not an option in the tournament (although you can pass up the scram and maybe the web if you have someone else we...

split weapons is a issue but 4 cruise/torp and 4 highslot utility (nos/neut/remote rep) plus drones; would have to do the math but that might work out better dps wise vs a domi (and still have just about as much remote support) I think it actuall...

theres probibly a LOT of max skilled minmatar cruiser pilots - they amount of vaga's, rapiers, huginns out there pretty much guarentee's it. and I guess i have to take back my comment about noone winning a tourney match with a maelstrom just now
